Reputation—Is the company reputable and known for square business dealings?
Guarantees and warranties—What are the guarantees and warranties that go with the trees?
Bud wood source—Where does it source its bud wood?
Rootstock source—Where does it source additional rootstock if needed?
Price—What are the costs for trees and royalties? Tree costs vary, but in the life of the orchard, cost is not that big a factor.
Certification program—What is the certification system to assure that trees are true to type and free of disease?
Tree Quality—Where are feathers placed and graft unions located? Are trees calm or climbing to the moon?
