Columbia River Basin water supply workshops
A series of workshops will be held to allow public input on a report compiled by the Washington State Department of Ecology on the long-term water supply and demand forecast for the Columbia River Basin.
The department is collaborating with Washington State University and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife to develop the report, which is due to the State Legislature in November. The report summarizes the likely changes in supply and demand over the next 20 years. Reduced snowfall and earlier snowmelt are expected to influence surface water flows.
Workshops will be held on September 7 in Richland, September 8 in Wenatchee, and September 9 in Spokane.
