USApple names its new leaders

The U.S. Apple Association named new officers and directors during its annual outlook and marketing conference in Chicago.
 

The new chairman is Dale Foreman, Foreman Fruit and Land Co., Wenatchee, Washington. He takes over from Julia Rothwell, from Belding Fruit Storage in Belding, Michigan.
 

Bill Dodd, with Fruit Growers Marketing Association in Newcomerstown, Ohio, become vice chairman. He was secretary. That position now goes to Chris Britton, with BK partners in Modesto, California. John Graden, with Dovex Fruit Co. in Kirkland, Washington, continues as treasurer.
 

Elected or reelected as regular directors were John Graden; Tony Blattner, with Twin Bee Orchards in Lowell, Michigan; Lee Peters, with Fowler Brothers Farms in Wolcott, New York; and Jeff Columbini, from Lodi Farming in Stockton, California.
 

Regional directors elected were Bill Dodd, Dale Foreman, Mark Nicholson from Red Jacket Orchards in Geneva, New York, and Dan Boyer, Ridgetop Orchards in Fishertown, Pennsylvania.
 

Joe Klein, from Royal Klein and Sons in Sparta, Michigan, stepped down from the board after several years of service.
