Moffitt nominated to United Fresh board
Kevin Moffitt is one of 14 people nominated to join the United Fresh board.

Kevin Moffitt, president and chief executive officer of Pear Bureau Northwest, is nominated to serve as a new board member of the United Fresh Produce Association. Elections will take place during the organization’s annual meeting on April 30. The national group represents growers, shippers, fresh-cut processors, wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and allied industries of fresh fruit and vegetables and works to increase consumption of fresh produce and shape regulations and legislative policies.
Moffitt leads the advertising and market promotion efforts for the non-profit Pear Bureau that represents 1,500 growers. His duties include managing director of the federal marketing order for fresh pears in Washington and Oregon. Before his appointment as president in 2001, he served as executive vice president and vice president of international marketing. He began his fruit industry career at Dole Food Company in 1981 and previously worked for Sun Diamond Growers of California.
