Ashley Thompson

Ashley Thompson will be officially starting as Oregon State University Mid-Columbia Horticultural Extension Faculty on April 27, the university announced.

This new position will be responsible for tree fruit production, so will include both pears and cherries in Hood River and Wasco counties, with Thompson’s main office in The Dalles.

Thompson has most recently been working as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She received a doctorate in horticulture from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in ecology and environmental science from the University of Maine, and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Susquehanna University.
