Earl Brown & Sons, the largest apple grower and packer in Oregon, has been sold to the Foreman Fruit Co. of Wenatchee, Washington, according to the East Oregonian newspaper.

The deal keeps allows the Browns to remain as managers of local operations, which include more than 1,000 acres of apples and 115 acres of wine grapes in and around Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

The operation will also keep its name and its employees.

“Nobody lost their jobs,” Ron Brown told the newspaper. “We’re moving along just like we did before.”

Financial terms were not disclosed. Earl Brown & Sons employs about 160 people.
