The Washington State Tree Fruit Association will hold Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training courses on Oct. 24 and 25 in Wenatchee, Washington.

The one-day classes fulfill the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement for produce growers. The classes run from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The training will provide a foundation of Good Agricultural Practices and co-management information, FSMA produce safety rule requirements and details on developing a farm food safety plan. Participants who are present for the entire course and submit the proper paperwork will be eligible to receive a certificate verifying the completion of the course.

The training will be held at the Confluence Technology Center (285 Technology Center Way #102) in Wenatchee.

The course is subsidized by the Washington State Department of Agriculture through a Specialty Crop Block Grant. The registration fee of $25 includes the PSA Grower training manual, certificate of attendance, lunch and refreshments.
