Workers who need to renew or obtain their pesticide handlers license in Washington state can register for a training course organized by the Washington State Tree Fruit Association and the Washington State Department of Agriculture on February 2, in Yakima, Washington.

The course will be available in English and Spanish, and training verification cards will be issued upon completion of the course.

The Washington State Tree Fruit Association (WSTFA), in partnership with the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA), will hold this interactive workshop offered in Spanish and English, now required annually for compliance with the Worker Protection Standard (WPS). It has been purposely developed to train unlicensed pesticide handlers on using pesticides safely, legally, and skillfully. WPS Handler Training Verification Cards are issued and six recertification credits will be available.

Registration fee of $95 will cover materials, lunch and refreshments.
