Washington growers looking to safely dispose of unwanted pesticides for free need to contact the Washington State Department of Agriculture before February 27, 2015, to be included. Last year WSDA collected and disposed of more than 150,000 pounds of pesticides alone.

The WSDA will send contractors out to farms to collect, transport, and dispose of unwanted agricultural pesticides but will not accept containers, fertilizers, or motor oil.

Sign up by contacting WSDA at wastepesticide@agr.wa.gov or by calling (360) 902-2056. Learn more about the program at www.agr.wa.gov/wastepesticide.
