Chuck Underwood, domestic sales representative for Columbia Marketing International LLC, recently retired after 45 years of service to the produce industry.

Underwood’s career in the produce world began in the late 1960s at the Washington Growers Clearing House in Wenatchee. He then worked for Nuchief Sales, now known as Honey Bear. Following Nuchief, Underwood co-launched Stirling-Underwood, which later evolved into the sales entity of Northwest Fresh. Underwood was in business for himself for 23 years, developing client relationships that he brought with him when he joined the CMI team 15 years ago.

“Chuck is an extraordinary individual and one that will be greatly missed by his CMI family and the industry alike,” said President of CMI Bob Mast. “His impact on where we are today as a company and the roads that he pioneered with customers along his journey at CMI will forever be appreciated.”

Underwood plans to spend his retirement enjoying hobbies of golfing, biking, and boating in Washington’s Lake Chelan area.
