Washington grape growers can learn about today’s wine market and environment during the second annual Grower Caucus meeting on November 15. The meeting, sponsored by the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers, will be at the Pasco Red Lion Hotel.

The forum is designed to give growers wine market insight to help them stay profitable—who’s buying, what they’re buying, who’s selling, and where growth opportunities are. A review of the 2012 crop will be presented, global look at the bulk wine market, and discussions about return on investment and how to determine margins. An analysis of business models will be given to show growers why it matters where their grapes are sold (small vs. large wineries, lower tier markets vs. high tier). Speakers include representatives from California’s Turrentine Brokerage and the Washington wine companies of Wahluke Wine Company, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, and Constellation.

Registration, which includes lunch, is $75 before October 31; $90 thereafter. To register, visit WAWGG or call (509) 782-8234.
