The Washington State Tree Fruit Association and Washington State Department of Agriculture are offering a bilingual (English and Spanish) Agricultural Leadership Program course starting Nov. 15, in Yakima, according to a news release.
Designed for farm supervisors and managers, ALP is a comprehensive training program that provides knowledge and tools to effectively practice the leadership skills that will increase confidence and improve job performance. Focus areas include communication, conflict management, leadership traits, delegating, coaching, goal setting, emotional intelligence and stress management.
The program starts with 40 hours of predetermined base courses followed by a period of leadership skills practice and a final presentation before graduating with an ALP Certificate from WSTFA and WSDA in February.
