Wild AnimalsWashington State University’s Dr. Thomas Henick-Kling is leading a harvest-time vineyard and winery tour to Australia from March 30 to April 14, 2014. Registration is open for the tour that will visit more than 20 winemakers and vineyard owners in Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Tasmania, Coonawarra, Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley, and McLaren-Vale. Henick-Kling has arranged for insider tours and tastings not available to the general public.

The trip will include travel along the Great Ocean Road, described by some as the most beautiful drive in the world, as well as free days in Melbourne, Adelaide, and an afternoon in Tasmania’s Wine Glass Bay.

The trip is planned through WSU’s Viticulture and Enology Certificate Program of continuing education. A deposit to hold a spot on the tour is required by January 1, with the balance due on February 1.
