The 59th annual Fruit Crop Guesstimate will be held Wednesday, June 25, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The annual event will be held at a new location this year—the Hilton Grand Rapids Airport Hotel, near the airport—and not at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel downtown.

The Guesstimate, which attracts about 150 people from across the country, starts at 2:30 p.m.

A number of presentations are made by industry people who make informed estimates of the size of the apple, peach, blueberry, sweet cherry, and tart cherry fruit crops. It is followed by a reception from 5 to 8 p.m., featuring hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, during which industry members can network.

The event is sponsored by the Michigan Frozen Food Packers Association, which is made up of 14 member packing companies.

The registration fee is $75 and must be paid in advance. Send check and registration information to Michigan Frozen Food Packers Association, c/o True Blue Farms, P.O. Box 195, Grand Junction MI 49056. Contact the hotel by June 3 for special rates.

Net proceeds from the event go to the MFFPA Scholarship Fund. Recipients are announced and introduced during the Guesstimate.
