Agricultural Leadership Program course starting in Yakima Nov. 4

The Washington State Tree Fruit Association, Washington State Department of Agriculture and Washington State University announced registration is now open for an Agricultural Leadership Program course starting Nov. 4 at the Yakima Convention Center. 

According to a news release, the comprehensive bilingual training program is designed to provide the knowledge and tools needed for farm supervisors and managers to effectively use skills such as emotional intelligence, communication, delegation and conflict resolution in the workplace. 

This three-month program starts with 40 hours of predetermined courses — meeting one day a week for five weeks — followed by a mentorship plan.
