Clearwest, an agricultural weather forecast company based in Washington State, will begin spring frost forecasts for the Yakima Valley and central Columbia Basin districts on March 15. Clearwest will issue two forecasts each day. The morning preliminary forecast will be available by 10 a.m., and the afternoon/evening forecast will be available by 7 p.m.

The forecasts can be viewed at the Clearwest Web site or can be accessed by phone at (855) 982-1501, according to information from meteorologist Jim Holcomb.

Forecasts for the Wenatchee and Okanogan districts will begin on March 27. The forecasts will continue through the end of May.
