Mid-Columbia CORE pesticide training is scheduled for Dec. 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The workshop will be held in the Columbia Gorge Community College Lecture Hall, Building 2 in The Dalles.

Morning topics include worker protection standards and an update on ODA laws and regulations. Afternoon topics include first aid and spills containment, along with ODA case studies and lessons learned.

There will be four pesticide credits available for this workshop with two in the morning and two in the afternoon.  The class will satisfy CORE requirements or can be taken for the additional four credit hours.

Preregistration is required by Dec. 8. Registration costs $5 and it payable at the door. Lunch will not be provided so participants are encouraged to bring their own or purchase food in the college cafeteria during the one-hour lunch break.
