The National Council of Agricultural Employers will hold a webinar in late April about the impacts of heat stress on farmworkers.
“Mitigating Heat Stress and Increasing Productivity” is scheduled April 28 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (1 p.m. Eastern) and will be hosted by Bethany Boggess Alcauter, director of evaluation and the national agricultural worker health program for the National Center for Farmworker Health. Participants will have a chance to ask Alcauter questions about strategies to keep their workers safe from rising temperatures.
Several tree fruit producer organizations, such as the Washington State Tree Fruit Association, are members of the National Council of Agricultural Employers.
