Warner was previously managing director of Merck & Company, Inc., in Bucharest, Romania, and has held managerial and marketing positions in the Asia Pacific region as well as in the United States.
He grew up in Seattle and after high school served in the U.S. Air Force and later in the U.S. Navy. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology from East Tennessee State University and a masters of business administration in international business and finance from Rutgers University.
He succeeds Robin Pollard, who left the commission at the end of last year after six years as executive director.
