The Michigan Apple Committee has hired John Woodall as regional manager covering the northern region of the U.S., according to a news release. He replaces Mike Bardon, who retired in June. Cam Harrington remains on staff covering the southern region.

Woodall previously worked in produce for Lucky’s Market, based in Denver, and had roles as produce buyer for Crosset Company and Caito Food Service, working with apples at both companies.

“John comes to us with a great deal of experience in the retail arena,” said Diane Smith, executive director of the Michigan Apple Committee, in the release. “We welcome his energy and enthusiasm, as well as his strong work ethic. I am confident he’ll use his talents to implement meaningful programs that benefit both our retail partners as well as the 825 growers MAC represents.”

The Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to marketing, education and research activities for Michigan-grown apples. For more information, visit www.MichiganApples.com.
