The Washington State Tree Fruit Association announced its 27th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held August 25 at the Highlander Golf Course in East Wenatchee.

According to a news release, the tournament format has been modified to be compliant with COVID-19 restrictions. Rolling tee times will start at 8 a.m. for teams at the first and tenth holes and then every 8 minutes afterward. Registrants may request preferred tee times. A take-away lunch will be included.

As part of the tournament, WSTFA is also holding an online auction of the Washington apple license plate. Email Tim Kovis at tim@wstfa.org if you would like to enter a bid. The auction will end August 25 at 5 p.m.

This annual tournament honors Gerald Nolan, Melvin Crowder, Jim Matson, Delmar Smith, Warren Morgan, Jack Batjer and other past industry leaders. All proceeds from the tournament support scholarships in their names.
