A couple of national blueberry groups have collectively hired two new executive-level staff members.
The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council and North American Blueberry Council, two nonprofit organizations that share a management team based in Folsom, California, have hired Jennifer Sparks as vice president of marketing and communications and Adam Winland as financial controller, according to a news release.
Sparks has been in the association management and industry promotion field for more than 20 years, including 17 years as vice president of marketing for the Society of American Florists. Winland has 15 years of financial management experience in a variety of industries.
