Here’s an opportunity to attend an industry event in Europe this year, at least virtually. Scheduled on Sept. 9 and 10, the Fruit Focus event has moved online to support the industry while there is still a threat due to the coronavirus, according to a news release.

“Although visitors may not be able to physically visit the Fruit Focus Event this year, they won’t miss out on any of the content as all the key features will now be delivered in a virtual sense,” said event director Alli McEntyre, in the release. “These are challenging times and while we are disappointed to have had to postpone the event, we are determined to do our utmost to support the industry.”

According to the release, attendees can join U.K. fruit and viticulture industry experts to learn about the latest products and technologies, network with fellow fruit growers, explore virtual tours of the NIAB EMR Research Centre and gain access to the best industry resources.

Highlights of the event will include:

—Live webinar sessions from industry experts, with live Q&A.

—New and returning features such as the new Lygus rugulipennis feature, the strawberry and raspberry WET Centres plus the concept pear orchard, plum orchard and viticulture tours.

—Exhibitor and sponsor-led content showcasing the latest products, technologies and services available.

—Machinery and equipment in action via demonstration videos.
