Honorees announced for Washington Wine auction Good Fruit Grower // May 16, 2014 Larry and Dick Olsen (left) and Anne-Marie and Tom Hedges (right) courtesy Auction of Washington Wines. The Auction of Washington Wines named Larry and Dick Olsen, and Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges as honorees for the 27th annual events this summer. Larry and Dick Olsen are the auction’s 2014 Honorary Growers for their over 40 years as growers, establishing Olsen Brothers Vineyards in 1972, which now grows 21 wine grape varietals. Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges are the auction’s 2014 Honorary Vintners. The couple helped found the Red Mountain AVA and has nearly 30 years in the state wine industry. Learn more about the honorees and the events planned to run through August 14-16. Auction of Washington Wines promotes state wines and supports viticulture and enology education though it’s annual wine auctions every August.
