This summer, we offered readers a chance to win $500 in gift cards by completing a 10-question survey about Good Fruit Grower and helping us to deliver the content you need and want to be successful. We received this message and fun photo from winner Melvin Knapton, owner of Knapton’s Farm and Orchard near Rockford, Minnesota, which he asked us to share.

The Good Fruit Grower is a publication that I read faithfully. It is by far the best publication that I read! The articles are very informative, and I support your advertisers.

We operate a quite unique fruit, vegetable and cut flower operation on the western edge of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Most of our crops are sold pick-your-own. We grow apples, tart cherries, plums, pears and raspberries. We have an assortment of vegetables, herbs, pumpkins and flowers for cutting. Unlike other orchards, we are not an amusement park, but we are a place where people can pick or purchase a wide variety of fresh produce.

We have been in operation for over 40 years and grow a huge assortment of varieties. You can learn more about us on our website (knaptons.org) and on Facebook.

I have learned so much from the Good Fruit Grower that I cannot even begin to tell you. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks, thanks and thanks again for all your great work.
