Researchers are continuing to survey blueberry growers about pollination methods as part of a multistate project.

“We really want to maximize feedback so our survey encompasses as many growers as possible,” said Lisa DeVetter, a professor of small fruits horticulture at Washington State University.

The survey is part of a $2 million grant-funded project from the Specialty Crop Research Initiative to find ways to adjust pollination practices to keep up with modern, high-density farming practices. It includes researchers from WSU, Michigan State University, Oregon State University and the University of Florida. However, growers from all states are encouraged to fill out the survey.
