The University of California, Davis, is offering a workshop on produce safety, November 5-7.

The interactive workshop will focus on microbial produce safety systems from preharvest to postharvest. Participants will learn about the current scientific basis for microbial safety systems and preventive controls. The curriculum includes a blend of fundamental, applied, and practical information that will challenge existing knowledge and assumptions about produce food safety programs.

The workshop will be presented by UC Davis specialist Dr. Trevor Suslow, whose research focuses on microbial safety and disinfection. Bill Marler, a food poisoning attorney and safety advocate, will be the keynote speaker.
