Washington State University Extension announced in a news release the 2023 Virtual Orchard Meetup summer series of webinars scheduled June 15, June 29 and July 13.

The series, titled “Managing the Uncontrollable,” will showcase growers and industry specialists who are leading the development of solutions to these challenges:

— June 15: Cold

—June 29: Water

— July 13: Heat

Each meeting will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. Preregistration is not required to attend. Simply go to the meetup Zoom site (https://psu.zoom.us/j/92185394871?pwd=N01PR1NtVDhEL3JjMlNic0hBME5pZz09#success) to join a few minutes prior to the start of each meeting.

While each meeting in the series builds off the one preceding it, each also functions as a “stand-alone” meeting.

This effort is being conducted across North America in close collaboration with the AI Institute for Transforming Workforce and Decision Support (AgAID). Since 2021, the program has brought together growers, researchers, government agents and extension educators to have an international conversation about important tree fruit topics.
