A half-day summit on how seasonal employers can best use the federal H-2A guest worker program to obtain a legal workforce will be held on February 12, the day before the Washington Farm Labor Association’s annual conference in Kennewick.
The summit will be held at the Three Rivers Convention Center, the same location as the conference. A “meet the speakers” reception will follow the summit from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
At the conference on February 13, Tom Nassif, president of the Western Growers Association, will speak on “Tales from the Trenches: Thirty Years in Ag Labor.” The conference includes nine hour-long workshops presented by regulators, attorneys, accountants, and others with expertise in labor and employment matters.
